About the Business:

Good Dog is a pet grooming business serving the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area for over 15 years. Currently, we are looking for a full time mobile groomer. We offer both mobile and salon environments for our clients. Our main goals are providing a clean and calm environment for our clients, with a passion for helping dogs with skin and coat issues. We aim to provide not only a low stress experience for the pets trusted in our care, but also a low stress & welcoming work environment for our team members. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge and experience in pet grooming techniques and animal care. Full time position with a minimum rate of $28-$30/hr plus tips. During training period this position will be Monday-Friday and pay $25/hr, at completion of training (2-4 weeks).the employees schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday and pay will increase to the agreed upon wage.

Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets' fur
- Clip/grind nails, gland expressions, clean ears, and tooth brushing
- Assess the overall health of pets and report any abnormalities or concerns to the owner or veterinarian
- Handle animals with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process. ---Minimize stress for the pets' and owners'
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client's needs and preferences

Requirements:
- Previous experience in pet grooming is a must (minimum of 2 years)
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments- Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high grooming and sanitation standards
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
