Purchasing Officer

Mala Malatang is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to oversee the sourcing, procurement, and inventory management of all ingredients, packaging materials, kitchen supplies, and other restaurant essentials. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent quality and availability of products to deliver a top-tier DIY hotpot experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement & Sourcing:
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain high-quality ingredients (e.g., meat, seafood, fresh vegetables, spices) at competitive prices.
• Identify reliable vendors for kitchen equipment, packaging, and operational needs.
• Build strong supplier relationships and maintain an updated supplier database.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to forecast demand and adjust orders accordingly.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure proper storage and freshness.
• Cost Control & Documentation:
• Ensure accurate and timely purchase order creation, tracking, and invoice verification.
• Track spending and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and internal purchasing protocols.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the operations manager and head chef to ensure ingredient availability and product consistency.
• Assist with supplier evaluation and onboarding of new vendors.
• Provide regular reports on purchasing metrics and market trends.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• 13th month salary
• Bonus pay
