You as a Quality Coordinator (M&E) will:
Execute and maintain QA/QC activities for mechanical and process works, including piping, equipment installation, welding, surface preparation, testing, and turnover.
Inspect and verify work related to process and mechanical equipment such as API tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, packaged systems, and mechanical systems including piping, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
Apply and interpret applicable Codes and Standards, including ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, ASTM standards, the Ontario Building Code (OBC), and relevant CSA references.
Review and verify welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WPQ), material traceability, and NDE results (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT).
Inspect pickling, cleaning, and surface preparation activities in accordance with ASTM and project requirements.
Exercise sound technical judgment in the field, ensuring decisions are supported by Codes and Standards and properly documented.
Manage NCRs, corrective actions, inspection records, and quality documentation through Mechanical Completion and Turnover.
Is this the right role for you?
You have at least 3 years of QA/QC experience on industrial projects.
You have a background in oil & gas, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy, or other highly regulated industries.
Demonstrated experience with process equipment, piping systems, and mechanical installations.
Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, ASTM standards, and the OBC.
Hands-on experience with welding inspection, NDE coordination, and quality documentation.
The ability to make defensible technical judgments with proper reference to Codes and Standards.
Ability to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario.
The salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000 CAD
