What You'll Do:
- Inspect and verify incoming materials, supplier parts, and in-plant production for compliance with established procedures
- Analyze recurring production issues, recommend corrective action, and complete rejection reports when necessary
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality concerns
- Maintain calibration of measuring equipment and ensure proper usage
- Prepare reports for inspections, verification, and testing results
- Support operational testing of rail cars and participate in customer delivery inspections
What We're Looking For:
- Associate degree or vocational/technical school in mechanical systems, or 3-4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, paint processes, inspection techniques, and non-destructive testing
- Familiarity with metrology and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
- Industrial Technical Engineer background preferred
- SAP R3 knowledge and Spanish language skills are a plus
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks
- Occasionally required to climb ladders, maintain balance, and adjust focus as needed
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
