About Us
Redwooddot Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our hospitality business. We are looking for a dedicated hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, direct and control the overall operations of the restaurant.
- Recruit, train, supervise and motivate front-of-house staff.
- Develop staff rosters and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionally resolve customer complaints.
- Monitor food and beverage quality to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
- Manage cash handling, banking and daily reconciliations.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and liaise with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand food safety, health and safety, and employment legislation.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, productivity and profitability.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
- Prepare operational reports and assist the directors with achieving business objectives.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must have:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Duty Manager in a hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience managing restaurant operations, staff supervision and cash handling.
- Knowledge of New Zealand food safety and health and safety requirements.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
