About the Role:

As a Security Coordinator you will be responsible for the management and coordination for all aspects of hospital security, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors through effective leadership, risk management, and incident response. Reporting to the Team Leader for Security & Parking within a timely manner

About the Team:

The security staff form part of the Attendants, Fleet, Security and Parking department.

The Attendant department currently employs around 120 staff working a 24 hour 7 day a week basis the Security and Parking operation is also a 24 hour, 7 day operation, utilising a group of contract staff of around 60 staff.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in security coordination or management, ideally within healthcare, public service, or large organizational environments
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop security personnel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, enabling effective interaction with staff, patients, visitors, and external stakeholders
• In-depth knowledge of security systems, health & safety standards, and relevant legislation, including emergency response procedures
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions in emergency situations
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in security management or related fields are highly desirable
