Servicenow Administrator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Administrator to manage and optimize our ServiceNow platform, ensuring seamless integration with our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in system administration, solution architecture, and IT operations, supporting the development and maintenance of enterprise service management solutions. Duties

• Manage and configure the ServiceNow platform to meet organizational needs, including workflows, modules, and integrations.
• Develop and implement custom solutions using RESTful APIs, JavaScript, and scripting languages such as Bash or Shell Scripting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable system architectures aligned with Service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
• Maintain and troubleshoot integrations with external systems such as Pegasystems, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure system security by configuring firewalls, VPNs, DNS settings, and implementing information security best practices.
• Monitor system performance, perform load balancing, and optimize infrastructure using virtualization technologies like VMware, ESXi, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Support DevOps practices by implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and automation scripting for system deployment and updates.
• Conduct regular system health checks and upgrades in accordance with SDLC methodologies while adhering to Agile practices.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure compliance with IT standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in system administration within IT infrastructure environments involving operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture, systems engineering, and system design principles.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform administration including workflow configuration and API integrations.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including JavaScript, Python, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting; familiarity with RESTful APIs is essential.
• Experience working with virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi or Kubernetes; cloud services such as AWS or Azure are highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of computer networking concepts including DHCP, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, and network security protocols.
• Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; knowledge of T-SQL or PL/SQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git for version control; experience implementing CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
• Ability to work within an Agile environment following SDLC processes; experience with microservices architecture is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
