Summer Intern

Attention all engineering students interested in the energy sector! Mercury is currently seeking talented and motivated interns to join our team for the summer from November 2024 to February 2025.

As an engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of engineering projects that will contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions. This is an opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice.

We are looking for a Civil Engineer and a Structural Engineer (3rd Year) to be based in our Hamilton office working for our Technical Safety Team. These roles will work across our Hydro Assets with our experienced engineers and other graduates.

About you:

• An interest in renewable power generation
• Currently studying an NZQA Engineering degree or equivalent (please provide official transcripts) OR a degree related to the above areas of interest
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The passion, curiosity and enthusiasm to get stuck in and make a real difference
• A full and clean New Zealand drivers' licence
