Description of the duties
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to achieve departmental goals and individual professional growth.
- Manage all sourcing, purchasing, logistics, project coordination and supplier quality activities and resources for the region’s Supply Chain group.
- Work collaboratively with Key Account teams to provide requested information, ensure customer requirements are met and projects are delivered on time to meet customer needs.
- Ensure supply chain support throughout the entire CPS Gate process.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery performance from suppliers.
- Drive year over year cost savings.
- Measure and report supplier on-time delivery, cost savings and cost of quality.
- Measure and report supply chain team efficiency.
- Manage payment terms strategy, optimization and management
- Collaborate with Category Managers in the supplier qualification process, supplier performance evaluation and capacity management.
- Collaborate with Materials Manager to ensure information flow and Master Schedule needs are met.
- Manage resources, in collaboration with Key Accounts, to ensure CPS project needs are met.
- Ensure sourcing and operational activities adhere to ethical standards, legal requirements, and company policies, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability within the organization.
- Drive productivity gains (cost savings) to improve project and service margins through negotiations and competitive bidding, minimizing defects and delays.
- Manage supplier performance ratings in line with global supply chain process and methodology.
- Drive multiple-source purchasing activities to reduce costs and risks to CPS.
- Collaborate with Key Accounts, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance and Continuous improvement to improve cycle time and overall product cost.
- Monitor current commodity market conditions/trends, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges.
- Negotiate and administer purchasing contracts, as needed.
- International trading issues/imports/legal, awareness and management Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Excellent leadership, team motivation and development, and communication skills, with ability to influence and work effectively cross functionally as well as vertically in a regional/global organization.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to generate best in class total cost reduction results.
- Ability to formulate, articulate and deploy strategic sourcing and supply chain related strategies.
- Knowledge and skills in driving Change Management / Continuous Improvement.
- Excellent knowledge of sourcing and procurement systems, ERP modules and computer skills, including excel and powerpoint.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to complete commercial assessments and cost analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with international travel (10-25%).
Experience:
- 10+ years global procurement and sourcing / supply chain management as well as related industry experience, operations management.
- Strong track record of results in related field and/or setting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, business or engineering minimum requirement. MBA strongly referred.
- CPM, SMPC, CPIM certification desirable.
- Good communication skills in English, verbal and written
