We are launching a brand-new dessert, chocolate & coffee shop in Uptown Waterloo — and we’re building it loud, fast, fun, and viral.

We’re looking for a tech-savvy content creator who wants hands-on experience helping a brand grow from zero to viral

If you love filming, editing, social media, TikTok, Reels, Shorts, memes, trends, and digital storytelling — keep reading.

THE ROLE

Part-time with a flexible schedule (we understand you’re in school but we ask that you comit to a minimum of 3 hours daily)

You will help build both the content and the digital business sides

E-COMMERCE, DIGITAL GROWTH & BRAND EXPANSION

A major part of this role is setting up and managing our online storefronts so we can sell world wide

You should be familiar with platforms like:

• Shopify

• Amazon Seller Central

• TikTok Shop

• Etsy

• Instagram Shop

• Facebook Marketplace

• (and any other major selling platforms)

Your responsibilities will include:

Creating the website

• Creating & optimizing product listings

• Uploading photos/videos

• Writing product descriptions

• Connecting payment systems

• Setting basic shipping options

• Tracking simple analytics

• Keeping listings organized & updated

• Assisting with online product launches

Knowledge of SEO, keywords, product tagging, conversion optimization, trend tracking, and viral digital strategy is necessary— this is the digital backbone of the business.

CONTENT CREATION (DAILY)

• Film content in the shop (you’ll also help set up the camera system)

• Edit fast, engaging, viral-style videos

• Post consistently on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts

• Capture behind-the-scenes, customers, products, and the brand vibe

• Jump on trends instantly

• Produce a high volume of content

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

• Run all of our social accounts

• Create a simple posting calendar

• Grow engagement organically

• Respond to comments & messages

• Build a fun, recognizable brand personality

TECH + MEDIA TASKS

• Help set up and maintain the website

• Update pages, menus, photos, and announcements

• Upload digital assets and keep everything organized

• Run basic metrics and reporting

WHO YOU ARE

• A University of Waterloo or local college student in tech/media/marketing/design

• Someone who lives and breathes TikTok, Reels, YouTube, and trends

• Creative, fast, reliable, energetic

• Skilled with editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.)

• Comfortable filming in-store

• Able to produce LOTS of content quickly

• Entrepreneurial — excited to help build something big

• You want your resume to say: “I helped build a viral brand from scratch.”

• Your work will be seen by millions of people eventually

• Fun, creative, fast-paced environment
