Trucking Manager

The Trucking Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s trucking operations to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective transport of goods. This role involves supervising drivers and dispatchers, maintaining fleet efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety and government regulations, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to meet logistics requirements.

Key Responsibilities:1. Operations Management

  • Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day trucking operations
  • Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments according to client requirements.
  • Optimize truck utilization, routes, and load planning to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor operations to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

2. Fleet & Maintenance Management

  • Oversee fleet availability, roadworthiness, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs, servicing, and inspections.
  • Monitor fuel consumption, tire usage, and other operational costs to control expenses.
  • Maintain updated records of vehicle registrations, insurance, and compliance documents.

3. People Management

  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate drivers, helpers, and dispatch staff.
  • Conduct driver orientation, training, and safety programs.
  • Ensure discipline, compliance with company policies, and proper handling of company assets.
  • Manage driver schedules, leaves, and performance reviews.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce compliance with safety standards, traffic laws, and government regulations
  • Implement and monitor company safety programs and incident/accident reporting.
  • Ensure all trucking activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.

5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as point of contact for clients regarding trucking services, concerns, and updates.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams for smooth transport flow.
  • Handle client escalations and provide solutions promptly.

6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare and analyze trucking performance reports
  • Recommend strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance service quality.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for trucking operations.
  • Lead initiatives for digitalization, automation, or process improvement in trucking operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in trucking or logistics operations, with 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine trucking industry, routes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and logistics/trucking management systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willing to travel or be assigned in different locations when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
