Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable and active Warehouse Associate to join our logistics team. This role is central to our store’s success, ensuring that inventory moves smoothly from the delivery truck to the sales floor. You will be responsible for the physical unloading of shipments, the accurate sorting of merchandise, and the organized "put-away" process. Core Responsibilities

• Truck Unloading: Work as part of a team to efficiently unload incoming trailers, ensuring all merchandise is handled with care.
• Sorting & Preparation: Sort incoming products by department and category, preparing them for quick and accurate replenishment on the sales floor.
• Put-Away & Stocking: Safely transport and "put away" overstock in designated warehouse locations or move items directly to the floor for stocking.
• Inventory Accuracy: Assist in maintaining an organized warehouse by ensuring all items are placed in their correct locations and labeled properly.
• Waste & Recycling: Help manage the processing of cardboard, plastic, and other materials to keep the receiving area clear of hazards and debris.
• Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the safe operation of pallet jacks and carts.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including consistent lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for the duration of a shift.
• Efficiency: A strong work ethic with the ability to maintain a high pace during the unloading and sorting process.
• Organizational Skills: A keen eye for detail to ensure products are sorted correctly and the warehouse remains tidy.
• Reliability: Punctuality is essential, as this role is critical to the store’s daily replenishment cycle.
• Communication: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow directions from the Receiving Lead.
• Tech Comfort: Ability to learn and use handheld scanners for basic inventory tracking.
