The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving company growth. This position requires a proactive, results-oriented individual with a focus on achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within an assigned territory to generate sales and revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Achieve sales growth by consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Drive new business growth by proactively prospecting through Datamyne, Spiro, and independent market research to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share by enhancing relationships with current clients.
- Manage the sales process, ensuring smooth onboarding of new clients and seamless transitions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve any sales or delivery-related issues to ensure high retention rates.
- Collaborate with the pricing team to provide strategic input on pricing strategies and customer rate quotes.
- Ensure all business development activities and client interactions are accurately recorded and updated in the company’s CRM system.
- Oversee the monitoring of credit lines for clients according to company policies and guidelines.
- Create and maintain an accurate pipeline and sales forecast, ensuring realistic and timely targets.
- Assist in preparing sales reports and provide regular progress updates to senior management regarding sales targets and achievements.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by Management to support the business development strategy.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of business development or sales experience, ideally within the logistics, international freight forwarding, or NVOCC industries.
- Proven success in managing and expanding existing client relationships while actively pursuing and securing new business opportunities.
- Must have an established book of business with a proven track record of client acquisition and retention.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to secure contracts and close high-value deals.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and senior management.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities, ensuring efficient handling of multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with CRM systems for tracking and managing client interactions and sales activities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, identify new business opportunities, and develop actionable strategies to drive growth.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php70,000.00 - Php90,000.00 per month
