Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with power tools, and the ability to read blueprints. The Carpenter will work on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

• Construct, assemble, and install structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
• Utilize power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials
• Install cabinets, doors, windows, and other fixtures with precision.
• Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications.
• Fabricate custom pieces as required for specific projects.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

• Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders.
• Experience in masonry techniques is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Competence in building and assembling structures according to design specifications.
• Knowledge of plumbing techniques related to carpentry work.
• Experience with roofing installations is beneficial.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery for fabrication tasks is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Additional pay:

Education:

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

• carpentry: 4 years (preferred)

Language:

• English (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
