Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our dental practice.
As a dental receptionist, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the office. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients and ensuring smooth daily operations within our dental team. Prior experience with dental office procedures, along with proficiency in relevant software, is highly valued.
As a dental assistant, the ideal candidate would be required to assist the dentist chairside, develop x-rays, update sundries/supplies, cleaning and sterilization of instruments, preparation of operatory for patients. Prior experience in chairside assisting and knowledge of dental materials is preferred.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments using electronic medical records systems.
- Manage phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communication.
- Verify patient insurance information and update records accurately in Logitech systems.
- Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete prior to appointments.
- Collect payments, process billing, and handle administrative tasks related to patient accounts.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize office workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a professional environment.
- Support office tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic dental records.
- Assist dentist in dental procedures chairside.
- Prepare operatory for dental procedures; knowledge of dental materials preferable.
- Sterilization of dental instruments.
- Develop x-rays.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist is preferred.
- Certified dental assistant Level 1 required.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Logitech.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare documentation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and friendliness.
- Previous office experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not mandatory. This role offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated dental team committed to providing outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
