What are you doing next summer? Ever been to Phoenix, Arizona? At PetSmart, we are committed to developing future business leaders through our Emerging Talent programs. By joining our Digital team as a Digital Intern, you'll join a collaborative group of pet lovers who'll do Anything for Pets.
The Digital team focuses on delivering a superior customer experience on petsmart.com and our mobile app. Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs.
We work to showcase our brand digitally through the lens of expertise and love and to provide a personalized experience for our consumers. The team takes a data-driven approach and leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the experience and make business decisions.

About the Job
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
PetSmart Summer Internships will take place June 3 - August 9, 2024

• Work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and has the ability to flexibly respond to changing priorities
• Help develop strategic and tactical initiatives to transform the customer experience and maximize sales
• Prioritize tasks, manage expectations, mitigate risks, and offer creative approaches to achieving design solutions even in the context of challenging constraints
• Review requirements and assists in identifying various usage scenarios and underlying user and business needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine initiative goals, business value, and business requirements
• Opportunity to create relevant stories for pet parents, that deliver solutions for the unique needs of their pets where and when they are receptive to great content
• Leave your “paw” print with a project designed to help you make a true impact within your team and on the business
• Present your recommendations and original ideas to PetSmart leaders and peers at the end of the summer
• Develop and grow your soft skills with the support of a dedicated manager and a mentor

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

• A passion for pets
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Visual Communication, Interactive Design, Graphic/Web Design, Marketing, Retailing and Consumer Sciences, and/or related field
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (ID, PS, AI, Acrobat, XD)
• Graduating Fall 2024 or Spring 2025
• Desire to learn, grow and engage with peers and leaders - ask for what you need
• Ability to pivot alongside ever-changing business climate
• Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication
• Ability to display learning agility, reflective listening, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Willingness to relocate to Phoenix, Arizona for the summer and potential future FT role

About the Culture

• 10-week paid and in-person summer internship
