Firmware Engineer Intern

Job Description

Main Purpose

You will be working with a team of engineers to develop Taoglas’ Edge IoT device. This is a low power embedded platform for sensing and reporting environmental data gathered from its onboard sensors.

Responsibilities

Your role as an embedded systems engineer will include:

• Developing enhancements, updates, and features for Taoglas’ low power IoT devices.
• Architecting and implementing connected IoT solutions.
• Developing drivers for custom sensor solutions.
• End-to-end testing of solutions to improve robustness.
• Participates as a member of a project team of other firmware engineers to develop reliable and robust solutions.

Knowledge and Experience

Exposure to some of the following, either through course modules, project work or work experience, would be desirable:

• C Programming
• Digital Electronics
• Assembly
• Internet of things technologies (e.g Bluetooth low energy, MQTT, LoRA etc)
• Communication protocols (i2c, UART, SPI etc)
• Knowledge of computer networking
• Linux
• Device Drivers
