Hostess Cashier

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Hostess / Cashier to join our restaurant team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, handles transactions efficiently, and helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

You will also assist with running food, bussing tables, and supporting the front-of-house team to keep service moving quickly. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment for every guest.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and manage the seating flow
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process orders and payments
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods with accuracy and professionalism
• Run food from the kitchen to guests quickly and correctly
• Bus and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean dining room
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and front counter area
• Answer phone calls and assist with takeout orders
• Support servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining area

Skills

• Friendly and outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Experience using POS systems and handling cash preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay active and move quickly during busy shifts
• Attention to detail when delivering food and handling guest orders
• Professional phone etiquette when handling guest inquiries
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
