Program Overview:

Are you an innovative, forward-thinker who would like to make an impact with the Fortune 50 company behind Xfinity, NBCUniversal, and more? Comcast’s Northeast Division is seeking dynamic, self-motivated intern participants who have a strong passion to drive the age of innovation through our immersive summer experience!

Our 10-week paid internship program gives participants hands-on experience working with various groups across multiple office locations within Comcast’s Northeast Division. As a member of the team, you will gain invaluable knowledge of the industry, be part of our diverse and welcoming culture, and receive exposure to other areas of the business.

Your experience will also include:

• Engagement & Exposure:Creativity, ingenuity, and innovation is the name of the game! As you get an inside look into the day-to-day operations of a cutting-edge media and technology company, you’ll work on creative, impactful, and thought-provoking projects with various business units. With many exhilarating experiences built into one internship, you will have the opportunity to take center stage and showcase your summer projects during the final Summer Showcase.
• Professional Development & Fun:You will have the opportunity to network with fellow intern participants through social activities, community building, and Experience Days. Our 10-week internship program maintains a strong focus on professional growth and development. Through activities like speaker series and skill-building workshops you will jump-start your career. Plus, we build in time for you to network with senior leaders and enjoy collaborative activities with your fellow program participants.

Role Overview:

The Information Technology interns participants will assist full time project coordinators and managers on a variety of projects within the business. You will be able to train with seasoned IT Support Technicians on how to support our Comcast user community computer endpoints, peripherals, mobile devices, software configurations and Xfinity Retail Store locations. Prepare to be engaged in thought-provoking projects, experience a cutting-edge organization from the inside, gain professional development skills and have access to a wide range of mentorship and networking opportunities.

This role is an exciting opportunity that will focus on supporting the execution of significant projects that will require exceptional organizational skills and a customer-first mindset to succeed within a fast-paced environment.

Comcast has multiple internship opportunities, and your responsibilities will vary; functional areas may include but not limited to:

• Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
• Application Development
• Information Security
• Systems Management Automation/Infrastructure
• Data Analysis
• Project Management/Business Analysis
• Process Improvement

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Authorized to work in the United States of America
• Ability to work 35-40 hours per week over 10 weeks
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance

• Ability to work in both independent and collaborative environments
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Background:

• Prior business exposure through internships, work experiences, or campus organizations
• Interest in the telecommunications, cable, and media industries
• Currently pursuing a major in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Software or Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Proficiency in one or more of the following:
  • Programming languages (Java, ASP.NET, Python, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, SQL)
  • Relational database Management system (SQL Server)
  • Markup language (CSS, HTML)
  • Security (Network Intrusion Detection, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability, Malware, Firewalls)
  • Networking
  • Reporting/Data (Cognos BI, ClickFox CEA and Genesys Advisor, SQL)
  • GUI design, human computer interaction, information architecture

Salary:

Base Pay: $27.00

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
