Level 2 Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your dental assisting skills and expanding your expertise in various dental procedures. Prior experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly valued. A background in medical terminology and CAD is a plus, enabling the assistant to contribute effectively across multiple areas of patient care.

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
• Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments including orthodontics and pediatrics cases
• Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and treatment procedures
• Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks related to front desk duties as needed
• Assist with laboratory tasks related to dental appliances or orthodontic devices
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning properly

Skills

• Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
• Experience with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care
• Ability to operate CAD systems for designing or modifying dental appliances
• Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control protocols
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar healthcare setting is advantageous
• Language: Russian or Turkish or mandarin/cantonese
