Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using ActionStep, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development and strategy.
• Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
• Manage case files efficiently through document management systems and insuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Review and organize legal documents for litigation, estate planning, or regulatory compliance projects; perform detailed proofreading and transcription as needed.
• Support project management initiatives by coordinating deadlines, scheduling interviews with clients or witnesses, and tracking case progress.
• Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases .
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, courts, vendors, or internal teams to ensure professional interactions at all times.
• Assist with administrative duties including data entry, filing (both physical and electronic), calendar management, and clerical support to ensure smooth office operations.
• Support attorneys in preparing for hearings or meetings by organizing documents and conducting preliminary research on relevant laws or regulations.

Experience

• Proven paralegal experience in a busy law office environment supporting multiple practice areas including litigation and transactional work.
• Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes such as document review, case management software (e.g., ActionStep, LexisNexis), and document management systems like iManage.
• Familiarity with diverse legal fields such as estate planning, family law, business law, and workers' compensation is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and synthesize findings into clear summaries or reports.
• Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
• Organizational skills that enable effective project management—prioritizing tasks while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Clerical experience including data entry, filing systems (physical or electronic), phone etiquette proficiency and administrative support functions.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
