Afrofusion is looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our team. This position is responsible for keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing and kitchen areas
• Assist with garbage removal and kitchen cleaning
• Support kitchen staff when needed
• Follow sanitation and food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Adhere to all health department regulations and company policies

Experience

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Previous experience is an asset but not required
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and flow
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and grow with the brand

Requirements

• Previous line cook experience preferred
• Food Safe certification is an asset
• Ability to stand for long hours
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Flexible availability (evenings and weekends required)
