$22/hour DOE with scope of increases at 6 months, and 12 months with “meets expectations” review

About the company:

The company is a provider of specialty PET packaging products for the beverage market – particularly large containers (10 – 30 liters) for beer, wine, and water.

Function:

Based in Caldwell, ID the production line lead will report to the Plant Manager as required. Provides daily direction of the team for the assigned responsibilities to ensure the proper flow of product from raw receiving through to finished goods distribution.
The Lead Operator will lead 4 - 8 operators in a work team to operate a blow-molding line.

Responsibilities:

- Leading the team of operators to ensure production outputs and efficiencies are achieved

- Ensuring that quality standards are achieved on the line and perform some quality controls

- Ensure that SOPs are being followed on the production line

- Train new operators on various workstations from time to time

- Report production issues through to the plant manager

- Communicate effectively with operators to ensure production issues are communicated

- Support plant manager / production supervisor with ad hoc tasks especially during production start-up

- May be required for Loading/Unloading semi-trucks with raw materials/finished goods

- No job is too small

Skills & experience:

Previous experience of manufacturing operations and confident forklift operation. Plastic manufacturing experience is not required but preferred.

Education

High school diploma or GED
