Retail Assistant Manager

The Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service at Busy Bee Smoke Shop by efficiently and accurately processing sales transactions. This role includes selling products to customers, operating the cash register, handling various forms of payment, and assisting customers with inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

Shift hours: 35-40 hours a week, morning shift

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales.
• Greet customers warmly and respond to questions
• Operate cash registers, scanners, and card payment machines
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Balance cash drawer at beginning and end of shift
• Follow all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, and sales promotions
• Assist with stocking shelves and general store upkeep when needed
• Ensure a positive customer experience with prompt and friendly service

Experience

• Experience working at smoke/vape shop (not required but preferred)
• Previous sales or customer service experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic math
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 39 per week
