Job Description

TheseYour Role

We’re excited to be offering 2 internships for aspiring Software Engineers to join us in our modern, spacious office in Dunedin’s warehouse precinct this summer. You’ll be joining our Education group and working on Lt, our online learning platform with ready-to-use content for life sciences, nursing, and medicine. Our development work is done using TypeScript with React and MobX among others, but don’t worry if you’re not familiar with these yet. You will be given all the training you need, and paired with a mentor who will show you the ropes. By the end of your internship you will have contributed to the Lt product, and your work will be shipped to ADInstruments’ customers. Working with our team you’ll enjoy flexible work hours, and a range of social events. An internship with us will get your foot in the door of the tech industry.

The Projects

The Lt Accessibility project aims to expand the accessibility of our cloud platform, implementing changes to the student experience to support our diverse users. In order to conform to regulations, meet the desires of our educators, and support students with a range of abilities, we have committed to improving the accessibility of our platform and content. This project involves understanding web technologies and using that knowledge to modify our features in our software. The outcome will be a consistently accessible lesson environment for students.
The Lt Localization project aims to expand the localisation of our cloud platform, implementing technical support for translating the user experience for our global customers. As educators from around the world start using our platform, we want to support educators to teach students in the language they are most comfortable with. This project involves understanding web technologies and using that knowledge to modify the features in our software. The outcome will be a fully translated lesson authoring environment for our educators, and extend into the main features of the administration and student environments.

The Team

We value diversity of all kinds, and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team where we learn from each other. Our team is collaborative and curious and love working on new, innovative changes to our products. You’ll be joining a team who love to deliver value to our customers regularly. We’re excited to welcome you this summer and introduce you to the ADInstruments culture of passionate people who love science, learning and creating world-class products.
