Miami Beach Scooter (est. 1998) is a small, fast-moving dealership and rental/repair shop. We’re the local showroom for KYMCO, LANCE, SYM, Genuine, and Wolf scooters, and through TheScooterKing.com we ship fully assembled scooters nationwide.

The role in one line
Be the friendly, organized face of the store—owning front-of-house operations, customer service, rentals, parts/warranty coordination, and smooth handoffs to the mechanic.

What you’ll do (day-to-day)

• Front desk & phones: Greet walk-ins, answer calls/texts/emails/DMs; book rentals, service, and test rides.
• Rentals: Check customers in/out, check IDs, explain terms, take deposits, fit helmets, do pre/post ride damage photos.
• Point of sale: Create tickets, take payments, deposits; print/email invoices.
• Service desk: Write repair orders; set expectations; call with estimates/approvals; update customers on ETAs.
• Parts & warranty: Identify parts, place orders, track shipments/ETAs, receive & shelve; file warranty claims with manufacturers (KYMCO/LANCE/SYM/Genuine/Wolf).
• Inventory & showroom: Keep scooters charged, clean, and staged; print price tags; maintain helmets/gear sizes.
• Deliveries & logistics: Coordinate local deliveries and nationwide shipments (ready-to-ride units).
• Admin basics: File MCO/title packets, scan docs, maintain customer notes in POS/CRM, send follow-ups & receipts.
• Safety & standards: Keep the floor safe; perform opening/closing checklists; uphold a welcoming, professional vibe.

You’re a great fit if you…

• Love motorcycles, helping people and solving problems in real time (tourists + locals = lots of variety).
• Are organized, detail-oriented, and calm when it’s busy.
• Can ride/park a scooter (we’ll train) and move units with a dolly; comfortable working around vehicles.
• Communicate clearly on the phone and in writing; you take neat notes.
• Enjoy owning the front-of-house and partnering closely with a mechanic.

Must-haves

• Valid driver’s license and reliable commute to Miami Beach.
• Customer-facing experience (retail, rentals, service desk, hospitality, or similar).
• Computer skills: email, basic spreadsheets, and any modern POS.
• Ability to lift/move 50 lbs, push scooters, and stand for extended periods.
• Work authorization in the U.S.
• Professional English; Spanish a big plus.

Nice-to-haves (bonus points)

• Shopify / Shopify POS and any other computer experience.
• Service advisor or parts counter background.
• Experience filing warranty claims with powersports or automotive brands.
• Motorcycle/scooter enthusiasm (we’ll teach the rest).
• Notary, MCO/title experience, or rental agency experience.

Training & growth

• Week 1–2: Systems, scripts, checklists; ride/parking basics; parts catalogs; warranty portals.
• 30 days: Confident on phones/POS/rentals; running the front while coordinating with mechanic.
• 60–90 days: Handling parts/warranty end-to-end; assisting with deliveries and nationwide shipments.

Hours & availability

• Typical hours in the 10:00am–7:00pm range; one weekend day required.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
