Utility Staff

PHILMED is seeking a reliable and hardworking Utility Staff to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facility while providing general support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of the facility to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, checking plumbing fixtures, and reporting equipment or facility issues.
• Ensure the proper upkeep of facility utilities, equipment, and common areas.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain medical equipment as instructed.
• Safely collect and dispose of medical waste in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist in transporting patients within the facility when needed.
• Provide support to medical staff during examinations or procedures as assigned.
• Monitor the condition of the building and promptly report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other utility and maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in maintenance, utility, housekeeping, janitorial, or a related role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained workplace.
