Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary

Furbaby Medical is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for both pets and their families.

This position focuses on client communication, scheduling, and front desk operations, helping ensure a smooth and efficient workflow throughout the hospital. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Key Responsibilities Client Experience & Front Desk Operations

• Greet clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service and create a positive first impression
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with appointment requests

Scheduling & Workflow Management

• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments to support efficient daily operations
• Coordinate communication between clients and the medical team
• Assist in managing daily patient flow and minimizing wait times

Billing & Administrative Support

• Process payments accurately and handle invoicing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Enter and update client and patient information in the practice management system

General Support

• Assist with basic clinic support tasks as needed
• Help maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area

Qualifications Required

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats

Preferred

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or medical office
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology
• Experience with scheduling software or practice management systems
