Armed Security Officer

Job Overview
James Glass & Associates Security Services is seeking a professional and alert Armed Security Officer to be assigned at John’s Incredible Pizza in Carson. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment for guests and staff. You will play a key part in ensuring the safety of a high-traffic entertainment venue by monitoring activity, preventing incidents, and responding quickly to any security concerns. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, customer-service oriented, and experienced in handling security operations in dynamic settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the facility, including dining areas, game rooms, entrances, and parking lot, to deter theft, vandalism, or unsafe behavior
• Monitor CCTV systems and on-site activity to identify and address suspicious behavior
• Respond promptly to disturbances, guest concerns, or emergencies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for families, children, and staff
• Verify credentials of vendors, contractors, and staff as needed
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations until medical professionals arrive
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily logs, and security documentation

Requirements

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
• Valid guard card and armed security permits in California
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong observational and surveillance skills, including experience with CCTV systems
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and interact professionally with guests of all ages
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
