About the Company:

Helensville Fishery Limited is a fast-food business offering both take away and dine ine. It is located on Commercial Road, Helensville and operates from 9:30am to 8pm, Tuesday to Sunday. As our business opens long hours, we are currently seeking one full-time Cook to join our team to relieve the work load and shift. This is a permanent full-time role with an immediate start and a competitive market rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine foodstuffs to ensure freshness, safety, and compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain and clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils.
• Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes following established recipes and standards.
• Regulate and monitor temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Read food order slips and receive verbal instructions
• Clean, cut and prepare foods for cooking.
• Wash, stock and restock workstations and display cases.
• Order and take supplies delivery.
• Serve orders to customers at counters and tables.
• Cook food of consistent quality and portion standards.

Skills and Requirements:

• At least 12 month or more relevant work experience in fast food industry or restaurant
• Be able to work long hours and rostered shifts
• Be passionate about the profession
• Preferably have certificate or diploma in cookery
• Be reliable, efficient and hardworking
• Work well in a team
• Have a positive and friendly attitude
• Have no drug and alcohol issue
• Have no Criminal Conviction Record
