Job Purpose
The Call Center Representative serves callers by professionally answering inquiries, researching and resolving problems, and collecting self-pay balances.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to patient inquiries, requests, and disputes over the phone by clarifying, researching, locating, and providing information
- Process patient credit card payments to resolve outstanding self-pay balances
- Apply basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing including ICD-9/10, CPT, HCPC codes, and 1500 forms
- Understand fundamental concepts in healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle
- Use GE and Epic workflow systems and other available tools
- Analyze, identify, and resolve issues on patient accounts
- Act cooperatively and courteously with patients, visitors, co-workers, management, and clients
- Adhere to departmental policies, productivity, and quality standards
- Maintain composure during difficult calls
- Perform related duties and special projects as required
- Protect patients’ PHI according to HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in hospital/facility or physician billing preferred
- English proficiency required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Experience with GE Centricity or EPIC PB preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong verbal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain composure during difficult calls
Working Conditions
- Onsite work required
- Night shift availability required
- Physical: occasional movement, sitting, manual tasks, operating office equipment
- Mental: ability to follow directions, collaborate, and handle stress
- Work environment: generally minimal noise
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to Php33,000.00 per month
