Food Runner Busser

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, while also maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Duties

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all orders are accurate and meet quality standards before serving.
• Assist servers in delivering food to guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food service areas, including bussing tables as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
• Adhere to all food safety guidelines and protocols to ensure guest health and satisfaction.
• Assist with food preparation and cooking as needed, supporting the kitchen team during peak times.
• Utilize POS systems (such as Aloha POS or Micros POS) for order tracking and communication with the kitchen.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and guests.
• Experience with banquet services is a plus, along with familiarity in bussing and serving techniques.
• Culinary experience or kitchen experience can enhance your ability to assist in food preparation tasks.
