General Construction Worker

The Construction General Laborer is to prepare jobsites, perform the scope of work in a quality and timely manner, and perform all required duties with integrity. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize. The ideal candidate will have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills to identify issues; work independently and as a team member; have knowledge and understanding of new residential builds.

Job Purpose: General labor on mitigation and reconstruction job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 40-60 Hours per Week

Job Duties:

• Complies with all PPE standards and is aware of all safety practices, follows safety rules and procedures, complies with all legal regulations.
• Must be able to adopt all assigned job duties.
• Perform a variety of tasks at all assigned construction sites.
• Must be able to learn quickly.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions or in buildings without heating or air conditioning.
• Duties may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• General construction laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
• Must be able to work in heights 6 feet and above.
• Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks.
• The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
• Is a team player.
• Is detail oriented.
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Able to work overtime when necessary
• Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Work Location: On the road

Salary: Rate of pay will commensurate with experience.

Reporting: Reports directly to the Field Superintendent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Carpentry: 2 years (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Sarasota, FL (Preferred)
