Housekeeper — Castle Dargan Estate

Role Overview

Castle Dargan Estate is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team, delivering the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms and public areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring every guest enjoys a spotless, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest bedrooms to brand standard, including bed-making, bathroom sanitation, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly
• Manage and replenish housekeeping trolleys and linen stock
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures, including COSHH regulations for chemical handling
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
• Handle lost property in line with estate procedures
• Support turnover of rooms efficiently during check-out/check-in periods
• Assist with deep cleaning schedules and seasonal maintenance as required
• Communicate effectively with Front Office and Maintenance regarding room status

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality setting essential
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
• Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to manage a fast-paced, active role
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Good communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
