Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. This role involves performing routine cleaning duties, maintaining equipment, and supporting overall facility maintenance to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in all designated areas
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, carpet cleaning, and window washing
• Maintain restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers effectively and safely
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and sealing floors
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is advantageous
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
