Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, hardworking, and trustworthy Meat Butcher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, portioning, weighing, packing, and maintaining the quality of meat products while ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards are followed.

Job Responsibilities

Meat Preparation

• Cut, trim, slice, and portion meat according to company standards
• Prepare products for retail display and customer orders
• Ensure proper weighing and packaging of meat products
• Maintain product quality and freshness at all times

Inventory & Stock Handling

• Monitor daily meat inventory
• Assist in receiving and checking incoming stocks
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out)
• Report low stocks, damaged products, and spoilage immediately

Cleanliness & Food Safety

• Maintain cleanliness of cutting area, equipment, and workstations
• Properly sanitize knives, tools, and equipment
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products

Store Operations

• Assist customers when needed
• Support daily store operations
• Help maintain organized product displays
• Coordinate with cashier and store staff regarding inventory movement

Compliance & Accountability

• Follow company SOPs and policies
• Ensure accurate recording of inventory movements
• Minimize wastage and unnecessary trimming losses
• Protect company inventory and equipment

Qualifications

✅ At least High School Graduate

✅ Experience as a Butcher is preferred

✅ Knowledge of meat cutting, handling, and food safety practices

✅ Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy products

✅ Honest, responsible, and disciplined

✅ Willing to work weekends and holidays when required

✅ Experience in meat shops, supermarkets, wet markets, or food retail is an advantage
