Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Required: A friendly but busy law firm in Scarborough is looking to fill a full time contract position to replace the current person going on maternity leave.

Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is a front desk position which include the following responsibilities:

  • general front office and receptionist duties
  • greeting clients
  • answering and directing phone calls
  • monitoring all faxes and emails and forwarding them as required to the appropriate person
  • monitoring and ordering supplies
  • creation of files and file management
  • assigning files to the clerks and lawyers to ensure a balanced workload
  • scanning packages
  • checking mail and coordinating with couriers
  • contacting third parties to gather information
  • other related duties and assisting with lawyers and law clerks as required

Requirements:

  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
  • excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere

Pay: $36,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
