Roofer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various roofing techniques and construction practices. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Roofer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs, utilizing a variety of tools and materials.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, TPO, metal, and tiles.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct inspections to assess roof conditions and recommend necessary repairs or restorations.
• Apply caulking and sealants to prevent leaks and enhance durability.
• Engage in carpentry work including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing as needed.
• Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, and stucco applications when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
• Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor is required.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to roofing tasks.
• Knowledge of masonry, plumbing, welding, tile laying, restoration techniques, and remodeling practices is advantageous.
• Previous construction site experience is preferred along with maintenance person experience for diverse project needs.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour
