Server/Bartender

Job Overview

Shahi Manjil Indian Cuisine is looking for an energetic, professional, and customer-focused Server/Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in an Indian restaurant, be fluent in English and Hindi, and possess excellent customer service skills. The candidate will be responsible for serving guests, operating the POS system, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and hospitality.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in an Indian restaurant
• Fluent in English and Hindi
• Valid Smart Serve Certificate (Mandatory)
• POS system operation experience is mandatory
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly
• Operate POS systems for order entry, billing, and payment processing (Mandatory)
• Handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, bar area, and service stations
• Perform opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties
• Ensure all restaurant hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards are followed
• Clean tables, chairs, menus, counters, and customer service areas regularly
• Assist with restocking supplies, beverages, and service items
• Follow Smart Serve regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
• Work efficiently with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of Indian restaurant serving experience
• Strong knowledge of customer service and hospitality
• Experience using POS systems is required
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and time-management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
