Stock Controller

An opportunity have opened up for Stock Controller position at our state of Art Ripening and Distribution Center in Fyffes International SA Balbriggan.

This is a full time position Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30 pm.

Main Responsibilities:

Stock Monitoring & Management

  • Maintain real-time inventory levels of fresh produce using stock control systems
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconciliations (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

Waste Control

  • Monitor product shelf life and manage stock rotation (FIFO).
  • Identify and report causes of wastage and recommend improvements.

Ordering & Replenishment

  • Forecast demand based on sales trends and seasonal patterns.
  • Liaise with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Generate purchase orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of fresh produce in accordance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to monitor product freshness and condition.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain accurate inventory reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze stock movements and trends to support decision-making

Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize stock flow.
  • Communicate effectively with retail or distribution teams regarding stock availability and shortages.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of inventory management in FMCG, particularly fresh produce.
  • Knowledge of ERP/stock control systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Health and Safety:

  • Accident & incident reporting and investigation as required
  • Correct usage of plant and machinery as trained

Other:

  • Collaborate with the other site operations as needed in coordinating various site activities and targets encompassing site safety, production, and financial
  • Assist with any other duties competent in carrying out in line with the business needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €33,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
