CarePlus Urgent Care is looking to hire full-time highly talented Medical Assistants who will deliver exceptional care and customer service to patients in a fast pace, high energy urgent care setting. The Medical Assistant is a key member of CarePlus Urgent Care who works in conjunction with medical providers, as well as other dedicated clinical and office staff members. Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Greet patients, take vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and document medical histories.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist with minor procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician/advanced practitioner.
• Clinical Support:
• Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, urinalysis, blood glucose testing and x-rays if qualified).
• Collect specimens for lab testing and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Ability to fulfill scheduled shifts including every other weekend.
• Patient Education:
• Provide patients with instructions regarding follow-up care, medications, and treatment plans.
• Answer patient questions and direct them to appropriate resources when needed.
• Administrative Duties:
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments with specialists as needed and handle check-in/check-out procedures.
• Assist with billing and insurance verification as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.

Qualifications:

• Education/Certifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or other recognized certifications) preferred.

Current CPR/BSL card.

• Experience:
• Prior experience in an urgent care, emergency room, or medical office setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care protocols.
• Skills:
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach.
• Proficiency with EHR systems/medical software.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
