Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Pre-med, nursing students encouraged to apply. Spanish and English speakers preffered.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform intake procedures, including obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information.
• Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical assistant role or similar position preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic life support certification is required.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge.
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
