To help us with this, we are searching for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Technology and Transformation Team based in Invercargill on a fixed term basis.

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for driving positive business change by identifying and defining business needs, gathering and documenting requirements, and ensuring solutions align with organisational objectives. This role acts as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business problems into actionable plans. The Senior Business Analyst also supports process improvement initiatives, leveraging modern technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to enhance efficiency, automation, and overall effectiveness across the SBS Group.

What you'll be busy with:

• Gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements
• Identifying process and system improvement opportunities
• Evaluate and implement AI‑enabled solutions to drive process efficiency and automation
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
• Supporting system testing and documenting business processes
• Supports Product Manager and Lead BA on design implementation.
• Represents process governance in Future Bank meetings

What you'll bring:

• Proven Business Analyst experience delivering technical and non-technical digital projects and work programmes
• Good experience in technology and/or data analysis
• Knowledge of software development systems/processes/methodologies
• Experience leveraging AI as a business process enabler is desirable
• Experience managing stakeholders and facilitating collaboration across teams
• Ability to translate complex technical information to plain English and articulate this to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical, interpretation, problem solving and research skills

This role is full time, with hours of work, 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a fixed term opportunity for up to 15 months to join our exciting transformation programme.
