Server/Cashier

Duties

• Greet guests warmly, provide attentive service, and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Deliver food promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Handle cash register operations with precision, including processing payments via POS systems, giving correct change, and managing tabs through platforms like OpenTable.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting sanitation protocols in food handling and preparation areas.
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and knowledge of food industry best practices.
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in a fast paced environment
• Familiarity with POS systems ( or ability to learn) is essential for efficient order processing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Experience with customer service roles that involve serving, cashiering, or host/hostess duties will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is required to ensure guest safety.
• Strong basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction management are necessary.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends to support peak times in a lively hospitality environment.
