Job Summary

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and correct processing
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness
  • Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain smooth operations
  • Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements for optimal flow during busy hours

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems such as MICROS, Open Table and cashiering procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
  • Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
  • Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, and basic math for cash handling transactions
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards including guest relations, food industry terminology, and restaurant operations
