Lawyer

Job description:

The Associate Lawyer will handle various cases as assigned. She/He conducts client consultation, legal research, and drafts memoranda, briefs, and pleadings. She shall participate in community legal help activities. She/He will represent clients in court, administrative/investigative/quasi-judicial bodies, and tribunal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide legal service support to the legal team.
• Provide assistance to the Executive Director’s review and mentoring functions.
• Assess give advice on legal risks to the office and clients;
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations
• Conduct legal research, gather evidence, and prepare legal brief
• Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed.
• Explain the law and give advice to the clients
• Offer legal representation at administrative, conciliation, or mediation hearings.
• Draft or review wills, trusts, estates, contracts, affidavit and deeds;
• Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.
• Facilitate innovative solutions to client problems.
• Offer legal representation to clients in court proceedings on civil or criminal matters.
• Prepare pleadings notices and make appearances in court
• Participate in community legal help activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree from a recognized law school.
• Must have successfully passed the Philippine Bar Examination
• Willingness to travel and attend court hearings or regulatory proceedings.
• Flexible schedule; willing to work extended hours when needed.
