Assistant Warehouse Manager

We are currently recruiting due to significant expansion and are looking for an experienced and dedicated warehouse assistant Manager for our new warehouse.

The Warehouse Assistant Manager will be a key member of the warehouse team who will perform all of the key logistics processes within the warehouse from Receiving, Put-away, Picking and Packing. The expectation is of a high attention to detail with a strong customer focus thereby ensuring a high level of stock integrity and delivering a very positive customer experience.

Job Description

• Responsible for all goods into and out of the warehouse and for ensuring accurate and timely management of all company goods.
• In Warehouse Manager’s absence, you are to perform all day to day functions of the Warehouse Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Checking in and out all goods to the warehouse.
• Ensuring suppliers are delivering / packaging and labelling goods correctly, and where this is not happening report to the Operations Director / Warehouse Manager immediately.
• Performing double checks on picks assembled by warehouse staff.
• Providing holiday cover for other warehouse functions when and if required.
• Overseeing order- picking and marshalling of goods out into the appropriate area of the warehouse.
• Receiving, Picking and Packing, shipping, and general warehouse duties
• Ensuring 100% Picks accuracy before departure of the shipments from the warehouse
• Trailer unloading
• Chair assembly
• Order picking
• Upkeep of warehouse to ensure it is kept in a tidy and safe manner at all times.
• Provide holiday cover for other warehouse functions when and if required.

Roles and Responsibilities in the absence of the Warehouse Manager

You are responsible for:

• The day to day operations working in a safe manner and for ensuring that the agreed service level is achieved.
• Liaising on a daily basis with logistics provider in order to ensure service levels are met.
• Driving health and safety within the work environment ensuring that the company is at all times compliant.
• Developing positive relationships with key customer contacts and for ensuring that all customer requests are dealt with appropriately.
• Reporting to the Managing Director weekly on the previous week’s activity and KPIs.
• Ensuring all warehouse staff are carrying out all their duties as per their job description.

Critical Skills

• Strong attention to detail and consistent accuracy is required.
• Numeracy skills, along with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to monitor, develop and coach warehouse team members.
• Self driven and capable of working on your own initiative.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €36,000.00-€39,000.00 per year
