Assistant Warehouse Manager

## Job Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring efficiency and productivity while maintaining a safe working environment.

This job is for an assistant manager who wants to be hands on with work. You will be required to perform certain work duties within the warehouse, outside of just managing.

## Duties

- Manage warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution.

- Assist in monitoring and optimizing warehouse processes to meet company objectives.

- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement strategies for operational improvements.

- Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.

- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, shipments, and orders.

- Coordinate freight transportation and logistics to streamline operations.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.

## Qualifications

- Experience in warehouse duties

- Familiarity with WMS or similar inventory management systems.

- Understanding of Carrier Transportation and Classification

- Proficiency in forklift operation

- Ability to drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage a team.

- Nice-to-have: Previous experience in a distribution center environment.
