Line Cook

Brewlando is a thriving brewery, winery, and is now opening two restaurants serving hot, delicious, and memorable food. We are seeking enthusiastic line cooks to join our new teams in the Maitland City Centre as well as Histroric Downtown Sanford. Applicants must be passionate about their craft, thrive in a fast paced environment and be willing to grow and learn with us.Applicants must have experience cooking in fast service restaurants, adhere to food safety standards, and have reliable transportation as well as an active phone number.

Job Description: As a line cook, you will be responsible for executing menu items in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring high-quality standards. You will work as part of a kitchen team to prepare and cook food, maintain cleanliness, and follow food safety guidelines. This role requires both technical cooking skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and prepping them for use in cooking.
  • Cook and assemble food dishes according to recipes and specifications.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and served at the correct temperature.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking station and kitchen area.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and cleanliness standards, including proper storage and handling of food.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or cooking environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when needed.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Assist in the inventory management and restocking of kitchen supplies.
  • Monitor food stock levels and inform the kitchen manager when supplies are low.
  • Ensure proper handling of food allergens and dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
