Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and fryers
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to uphold food safety standards
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food production processes
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure smooth workflow
• Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas and assisting with ingredient sourcing when needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments preferred
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production
• Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and adhering to recipe specifications
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members
• Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required
